April 5, 2014 "The Friends of Ray Peters"....Steve McCartney

Recently I mailed out a bunch of custom cards to former teammates of 1970 Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Ray Peters...Got back Fred Rath Sr yesterday and got another return today, leaving just 2 still out there.

Steve McCartney
was a  minor leaguer from 1968-1975 with the Seattle Pilots/ Milwaukee Brewers organization. He was originally an infielder but was converted to left field by the Sacramento Solons when they rejoined the PCL in 1974. Because of the very short left field fence in Sacramento's Hughes Stadium (233 feet), Mr McCartney hit 32 home runs and since there wasn't much outfield in left, he also had 30 outfield assists.
