September 7, 2016 "Friends of Ray Peters"..... Bill Ferrell and Al Yates, Bill McNulty and Garry Jestadt


Bill Ferrell  
Mr Peters got in touch with the son of Bill Ferrell, who passed away in 2005. They were teammates in Jacksonville and Portland in 1970. Bill pitched from 1965 to 1970 after being picked in the 1965 Draft by the Minnesota Twins.


Al Yates
Ray also got in touch with the son of Al Yates, who passed away in 2007. Al  played regularly in the Mets and Red Sox organizations from 1964 to 1970 because of his good bat. He was traded by the Red Sox to the Brewers and he made his major league debut in 1971 against the Yankees.





Bill McNulty
was signed by the Kansas City Athletics as a free agent in 1965 and made his major league debut
with the A's in 1969. A good power hitter, he hit 237 home runs in the minor leagues with 55 coming in 1974 with the Sacramento Solons and their short left field fence.

Garry Jestadt
played infield for the Chicago Cubs , Montreal Expos and San Diego Padres from 1969 to 1972. He then went to Japan to play for a few years.
