Pat Bourque

Pat Bourque was a backup first baseman in the 1970s for the Cubs and A's


John Boccabella

John was a catcher with the Chicago Cubs and Montreal Expos. I remember the Expos PA announcer always having fun with his name.


Lou Klimchock

Mr Klimchock played in parts of 12 years in the majors as he played mostly in the minor leagues. He spent time with the Athletics, Braves, Senators and Mets.He also added a signed business card.



Bill Grabarkewitz

Billy G played from 1969-1975 with the Dodgers, Angels, Phillies, Cubs and A's. I sent him 3 custom cards to sign:

April 28, 2012 Five Returns Today

Ray Rippelmeyer

Ray pitched for the Washington Senators in 1962 going 1-2 in 18 games. I remember him more as the pitching coach for the Phillies in the 1970s and 80s.



Ken Aspromonte


Ken was an infielder with several teams in the 1950s and 60s. He is also the older brother of Bob Aspromonte.






Phil Gagliano

Mr Gagliano was mostly a backup infielder during his long career with the Cardinals, Red Sox, Cubs and Reds. His brother is Ralph Gagliano, who played in only one major league game for the Indians.



Earl Stephenson

Earl pitched for the Cubs, Brewers and Orioles in his career. He wrote to let him know if I ever come across a photo of him as an Oriole, to let him know.



Jim Bolger

Mr Bolger was an outfielder in the 1950s , mostly for the Chicago Cubs. After leaving the Phillies in 1959, he went to play in the PCL and ended his career with the Louisville Colonels in 1962.

April 27, 2012 Len Boehmer and Steve Huntz

Steve Huntz

Mr Huntz came up with the Cardinals and played for the Padres and White Sox. The Giants photo was taken early in Spring Training of 1971 before he was traded to the White Sox in March. Sent a nice note, personalized a few and included a 1972 Topps card



Len Boehmer

Len Boehmer is a name that sticks in my mind from childhood. He was only with the Yankees a short time but his name sticks.  I grew up watching and going to early 1970s Yankees games, Murcer, White, Clarke, Gene Michael, Jerry Kenney, Sparky Lyle coming into the game with "Pomp and Circumstance" playing ........aahhh the memories.

Dave was a minor league catcher in the Washington Senators/Texas Rangers organization for many years in the early to mid 1970s until he came up in 1977 with the Baltimore Orioles and played in 7 games and hitting a home run.


Joe Nossek

Mr Nossek was an outfielder for the Twins and A's in the 1960s The 1961 card pictures him as a member of the Charlotte Hornets.


Dick Groat

 I had sent to Mr Groat before but this time I wanted to make cards of him as a player with the Phillies and Giants, the two teams he finished up his career with.






I mailed out about 27 TTM requests today so next week should be fun....

I remember Mr Collins as a member of the1969 Mets before he was traded, with Steve Renko, to the Montreal Expos for Donn Clendenon and the Mets went from there....


Hal Breeden

Hal Breeden was a first baseman for the Chicago Cubs and mostly for the Montreal Expos. I had sent a 1970 Topps custom with the others but he kept it but replaced it with a 1973 Tops card and a 2010 BBM Japanese BB Card. Pretty cool.

Wilbur Howard was an outfielder with the Brewers and Astros  He was traded in 1974 from the Brewers to the Astros for Robin Yount's brother, Larry

April 16, 2012 Jim Miles and Paul Dade

Just 2 returns today.....

Jim Miles

Jim pitched for the Washington Senators in 1968 and 1969 with a record of 0-1. Wrote a nice note saying he had never seen the photos before and requested copies of the cards.


Paul Dade

 Mr Dade was an outfielder for the Angels, Indians and Padres in the mid to late 1970s. He signed the back of the cards in blue Sharpie.

April 14, 2012 Vic Correll and Jeoff Long

Jeoff Long

Jeoff Long played in the majors with the Cardinals in 1963 and the first half of 1964 before being purchased by the White Sox. The White Sox card was made colorizing a B & W photo.


Vic Correll

Mr Correll played mostly for the Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds but was first signed by the Cleveland Indians. I sent 4 customs to be signed but he kept 2 and signed 2.

April 13, 2012 Jim Mahoney, Lou Sleater and Bob Johnson

Jim Mahoney

Jim was an infielder that played in the minor leagues for close to 17 years, 1953-1970, most of it at the Triple A level. He made the majors in 1959 with the Red Sox, the Senators in 1961 and the Indians in 1962.


Lou Sleater

Lou Sleater pitched in the 1950s with the Browns, Senators, Athletics, Tigers, Orioles and Braves



Bob Johnson

Mr Johnson was an infielder who played 10 years in the majors from 1960-1970. He played for the A's, Senators, Orioles, Mets........it seems like he played for every team at one time or another. He signed 5 custom cards for me plus he added a vintage 1960s Don Wingfield postcard.

April 12, 2012 Four Returns

Pete Koegel

Pete Koegel spent most of his career in the minors but made the majors with the Brewers and Phillies. He is pictured here in a Seattle Pilots uniform as the Pilots became the Brewers after Spring Training. The Phillies photo I used was a colorized B & W photo. He sent a nice note about the cards and I will be sending him copies.



Tom Hilgendorf

Mr Hilgendorf pitched with the Cardinals, Indians and Phillies in the early 1970s. He was in the Royals organization from 1971-72 but never pitched for the Royals.


Denver Lemaster

Denny Lemaster was a pretty good pitcher with the Braves and Astros and finished his career with the Expos in 1972



Mike Hershberger

Mike Hershberger was the starting outfielder for the Chicago White Sox and the Kansas City Atletics in the mid 1960s. I guess he went to Spring Training with the Indians in 1972.

Mr Humphrey was mostly a back up catcher with the Expos and Angels. He signed 3 cards for me


Bill Roman

Bill was a first baseman with the Detroit Tigers for the 1964-65 seasons....The Syracuse Chiefs photo was originally a black and white photo that I colorized.


Ted Kubiak

Mr Kubiak was an infielder with lots of teams throughout the 1960s and 70s, mostly with the Oakland A's. He wrote a nice note and requested copies of my cards......



Jim Mason
 Jim Mason played shortstop for the Senators/Rangers, Yankees and Blue Jays in the 1970s. He hit a home run for the Yankees in the 1976 World Series.

Tom played mostly for the Washington Senators / Rangers in the 1970s and finished up with the Mets and Cardinals.


Tom Dukes

He pitched with several teams in the 1960s and early 70s. He kept my original custom cards and sent me back copies on regular paper....but at least he signed them.


John Miklos

Mr Miklos never pitched in the major leagues,,,,he never made it above Double A ball....but Mr Miklos had the honor of being drafted by the Seattle Pilots in the 1969 Expansion Draft. I believe his father was Hank Miklos, who pitched in 2 games for the 1944 Chicago Cubs.


Rich Moloney

Mr Moloney pitched one game with the 1970 Chicago White Sox. He faced five batters and struck out one.

Dave Vineyard pitched for the Baltimore Orioles in 1964. The 1962 Rochester Red Wings card and the 1964 Topps cards were black and white photos that I colorized.

Ted played mostly for the Red Sox in the 1950s and bounced around to various teams in the early 60s and even landing with the 1962 Mets in Spring Training






Max Alvis

Was the Cleveland Indians' regular third baseman throughout the 1960s and finished his career with the Milwaukee Brewers in 1970

Got one back today and it was 1960s Infielder and former Red Sox manager Joe Morgan. He signed 3 custom cards and wrote a nice note asking why I had no card of him as a Cleveland Indian. He also asked for copies of  the cards.

Don Stanhouse


Got back Don Stanhouse back today....his nicknames were "Stan the Man Unusual" and "FullPack". He also included a signed Texas Rangers Legacy card and his business card. He was originally signed by the Oakland A's in 1969 but didn't make the majors until 1972 with the Rangers

Getting back into TTM again... former Pirate Jim Sadowski and 1960s and 70s infielder John Kennedy

After a long break from mailing out TTM requests, I got back into it last week by mailing out cards and letters to about 20 former players. Got back my first two today,  Jim Sadowski pitched in 4 games with the 1974 Pirates. What I also found is that three of his uncles all played major league ball in the early 1960s, Ted, Ed and Bob Sadowski. Pretty cool. He also included a Pirates post card.


The next return is from John Kennedy, He was a utility infielder for many teams in the 1960s and 70s
