Several Boston Celtics also tried out for pro football......
John Havlicek
was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the seventh round of the 1962 NFL Draft. He played in several exhibition games that summer before the Browns released him.
K.C. Jones
tried out for the Rams in 1958 after coming out of the Army. He injured a thigh muscle and then went back to basketball.

September 3, 2017 Hockey Colorizations
Happy Labor Day Weekend to everyone....
had some time this weekend and while cleaning up I found a CD with scans of a hockey collection I bought about 10 years ago and sold on Ebay....lots of B&W minor league photos and programs from the 1930s to 60s. While looking over the images, I found there were a lot of interesting uniforms and these were crying out for some color, so with some free time, here goes......
1958 Vancouver Canucks WHL Champions
1961 Omaha Knights
1962 Nashville Dixie Flyers
Pictured are Eddie Dudych, George Knioelberg, Flo Pilote, Emile Gilles
Pete Tkachuk Seattle Ironmen 1950
Chuck Blair Pittsburgh Hornets
Danny Grant Houston Apollos 1967
Eddie Wiseman Chicago Shamrocks 1930
