I've been collecting baseball images for many years and decided to create some baseball cards and send them through the mail to the players pictured for their autographs. I also make cards for collectors.

September 6, 2012 Bart Shirley
Only one today.......
Bart Shirley
Bart Shirley played for the Los Angeles Dodgers and the New York Mets in the 1960s. What I remember the name "Bart Shirley" for is the fact he was pictured on one of the toughest high numbered baseball cards in the 1966 set. He was pictured on the 1966 National League Rookie Stars card with Grant Jackson. He signed 3 custom cards and asked for copies.
A very tough card

September 1, 2012 Labor Day Weekend
Got back five returns today from my mailing last Saturday.
Dick Gray
Dick was a third baseman who played for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1958 and 1959 and the St Louis Cardinals in 1959 and 1960. In 1958, in the Dodgers first home game ever in LA, Dick became the first Dodger player to hit a home run in the city of Los Angeles.
Bob Skinner
From 1954-1963, Bob Skinner was a regular in left field for the Pirates with Bill Virdon and Roberto Clemente. After playing he managed the PCL San Diego Padres and was named Minor League Manager of the Year in 1968. In 1969 he managed the Phillies and then was a coach for several teams.
Larry Jaster
Larry pitched for the St Louis Cardinals from 1965-1968. In 1966 Larry went 11-5 with six shutouts, which led the league. What was strange was the fact that all six shutouts came against the Dodgers who were the National League Champions that year.
John Donaldson
John played second base for the Athletics from 1966-1970 and then again in 1974. He became the regular second baseman for the Seattle Pilots in 1969 after they traded for him in June 1969.
Frank Carpin
Frank pitched for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1965 and the Houston Astros in 1966. He was originally signed by the New York Yankees in 1959 and spent five years in their farm system. He asked for copies of the Yankees photos and he sent along a nice Pirates photo of himself.
