August 20, 2012

Got three returns today, two from a mailing I did in July. It's always good to receive those that take a little longer to get back.

John Werhas

John played third base for the Dodgers from 1964 -1967. He was an All American in baseball at USC. He also played basketball there and was good enough to get drafted by the Lakers in 1960. All three photos I used for the cards were originally black and white and I colorized them. I should asked him about the black eye in the second photo.

Don Pavletich

Mr Pavletich was a catcher with the Cincinnati Reds from 1957-1968 and finished his career with the Red Sox in 1971.

John Montague

John was originally signed by the Baltimore Orioles after being drafted by them in 1967. As a member of the original Seattle Mariners, he recorded the first save in the team's history on April 9, 1977. John also included an original team issued Montreal Expos postcard.
