May 11, 2013 Larry Bowa and Joe Ferguson

Got back two today ......

Larry Bowa
I liked Larry Bowa because he was a pretty good fielder and always played hard. To me, because of his size, he always looked like the little kid playing with the big kids. He was an All Star throughout the 1970s and led the National League in fielding several times.

Joe Ferguson
Joe made the major leagues with the Dodgers in 1970 and became the regular catcher in 1973. He shared the position with Steve Yeager but played the outfield when he didn't catch. He also played with the Cardinals, Astros and Angels in his career.
