August 11, 2018 Custom Cards Signed Through Private Signings

Been close to 10 months since I posted as I had absolutely no time to post any new customs. But since I retired in June after 40 years with the U.S.P.S., I should be posting a little more
frequently......I hope.

These are customs I made for some private signings

Bobby Sheehan
was signing autographs at Doug Keatings's BB card show on June 17, 2018. I highly recommend Doug for his signings...he always has interesting Boston area former players at his shows.

I remember Mr Sheehan was one of the star players with the NY Raiders of the WHA, along with Ron Ward. He then bounced around to several teams and then he showed up in the 1978 NHL Playoffs with the NY Rangers during their Stanley Cup run and was outstanding.

Freddie Velazquez
was a catcher on the 1969 Seattle Pilots and has been a tough signature since he lives in the Dominican Republic. On SCN, Noel Arcenay and his friend Miguel have frequent signings with Dominican players and this past spring had Fred Velazquez on their list. This could be the only opportunity to get him so I had to jump on this signing.

Freddie started his career in 1958 with the SF Giants organization, played in the Kansas City Athletics organization through the 1960s and made the majors with the expansion Seattle Pilots in 1969. He moved to the Atlanta Braves and played with them in 1973.

Bob Reynolds
pitched for 7 major league teams in 6 seasons but only had his own card as an Oriole in 1974 and 1975. Bob was obtained through a signing with Britt of Autographsink.

 Fred "The Hammer" Williamson
was a hard hitting defensive back in the 1960s American Football League with the Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs. He later became a movie actor and co-starred in the original MASH movie.

Mr Williamson was obtained by Lou from Signatures4U along with the Steelers in the next post.

John Banaszak, Mike Kruczek and Dennis Winston
were alson obtained through a signing with Lou of Signatures4U
